It's a scary world outside the confines of unstable homes. Is there no place safe? But then, parents are in training at every stage of life. Unfortunately, there are no requirements for training to be a parent. Story is well done.

Thank you, cccwriter. I appreciate your comment, and happy to hear you liked Chapter 1. I look back at this story which happened 50 years ago, and know in my heart that my parents did the best they could for me. My only regret was how much I hurt them.

katie i have just whisked myself into the first chapter of this must read book of yours and i am already overwhelmed by such great work. KariAnn is such a heroine caught up in the webs of adolescent. Only a glimpse into your world is wonderful and what if a step.

Great book .
Chapter one is well written, and the story flows, and creates an emotional toll on the reader. I like reading it.
