a joke

Why so many riddles?
Riddles never made me laugh.
An amusing joke, said smiling,
Never was a riddle's half-
Why not laugh some more?
Life really is a pretty funny thing.
Why so serious?

Why so dark, now?
You need color: just a smidgen of bozazz...
Maybe purple? Purple's good on you!
It gives a hint of jazz.
Why not smile more?
Humanity has always made me laugh.
Why so serious?

You go through life alone,
And so do I.
Perhaps we'll be alone
Until we die.
A smile's very winning-
So you've never won a thing.
Why so serious?

If you only saw the humour
In the smallest little quip!
Just a tiny little smile-just a giggle?
Let 'er rip?
But you haven't got a humour,
So I guess the last laugh's mine.
Why so serious?
