A very well written story
Great detail and atmosphere
You took the reader into the mind of the Vampire and made them feel sympathetic for their plight.
I really enjoyed this.

Wow! I actually felt pity for the vampire! Then he resumed his role as a fiend. Excellent!

Beautifully written - inspiring even - with a great twist at the end.

Vampires are one of my favorite tropes... Alas modern romanticization of the archetypal monster that I think is more fact then faction has largely neutered them and turned them into mundane Mary and Gary S(t)ue's. This was an excellent and tragic return to form.

We get what we deserve... What I got from the end of the story was that he had the opportunity to incorporate the monster, his Jungian shadow, but instead he allowed it to once again control him in favor of short term physical gratification. A tragic story as old as man and I am intimately familiar with though I've never murdered anyone, aside from perhaps myself. He learned nothing as most of us learn nothing in the rare moments of clarity we have in between sins.

Whatever you meant with this story... Great execution.
