...the sunset shade of light breaking through dusty windows. It is the first morning sip of crystal-clear water from an earthy spring, while you slowly move past the lazy state of semi-dreaming. It is falling asleep during a road trip in the backseat of a car, using your hoodie sweater as a pillow, and forward-thinking about your destination. The moment you shut your eyes not too tight, just enough to get a window glimpse of treetops you’re passing by until the sky blackens out and there are nothing but moonlit shadows.

Tenderness is the sound of your cat purring and the softness of her tabby fur. It is the way she squeezes her eyes when you pet her head gently. It’s the memories that first come to mind when you recall anyone, anywhere who ever made you feel strongly indifferent, to say the least. It is the racing heartbeat and the explicit smile on your face when you hear the news you’ve hoped to hear all afternoon.

Tenderness is pouring the half-and-half creamer into your tiny cup of morning coffee. It is the bouquet of lavenders in an antique-looking vase on the table. The lightweight, no longer tired feet soaring through a well-familiar city route, one that’s become your favorite over the years - all the countless things this world tastes like, smells like, and feels like.

All in average, it is is the purest form of love of all...
