Calling All Cars--‘Evel Knievel Blues’
Verse:
Here I am, about to pinwheel to the ground
My high-pitched screaming the only sound
“Gotta rev up that crowd, gotta look cool,”
But it’s me about to splash down near Caesar's pool
Pre-Chorus:
I’ve a bird’s eye view of the crowd,
Up high in the sky, but soon headed down
Verse
“Keep ‘em entertained, at any any cost or price,”
But they’re not up here, bones soon packed in ice
As I’m rushed to the hospital, I hope you got your jollies
I’m the star attraction of the idiot air follies
Pre-Chorus:
“Look, it’s a bird, it’s a plane,” nope, just me
About to pay the price for all that gravity
Chorus:
What a bummer, man, got The Evel Knievel Blues
In my mangled body, soon be yet more screws
Yes, I’ve got The Evel Blues, enjoy the show
Headed for pavement splashdown, don’t you know?
Verse:
Cleared all but one of 140 feet, but now I fly though the air,
Soon to snap off something as I land hard down there
Frozen faces watch me pinwheel to my doom,
They’ll send get well cards to my hospital room
Repeat first Pre-Chorus:
Repeat Chorus:
END

Thanks, Bobi--there sure was in us kids, don't know how we survived our youth!
