Some sleep on gaming tables in the sky

And others prefer to drift to no-place land.

I, myself, have a place I call my own

It is a burrow in the hollow of the sand.

I go there when the world has let me down

When the bad outweighs the good, all around,

I go there just to find some quiet time

For in my burrow, in the hollow, there is no sound.

But I really must confess, all’s not right

I feel vibrations of discontent seeping in.

I do believe that I shall dig a little further

And cover-up, with the ever sifting sand.

The sand is my place where worlds depart,

Where fantasy and make-believe are the norm.

In the sand I can silence all the hate

And glide like the Falcon in a storm.
