Megaphone voices, venom stabs, and hate spews

This is exactly why we can’t afford to lose

Emboldened, you’ll will crawl into the light

Destroying, not building, inclusive to none, sight

Blinded by personal baggage, lashing out knee jerk,

In the shadows, Sixteen Fifty bides it’s time and lurks

With a me-only agenda, I shudder to think of a tomorrow

Full of intolerance, bigotry, hatred, and sorrow

Like to think the world has evolved, is enlightened,

But the truth is, hatred has only been heightened

By these enlightened times, scurry, hurry, hide away

Proving your backwards look with every word you say
