I sail on a dark sea, the sea of judgement
Basked beneath moonlight
Immersed in black waves
The night holds mystery
A history of endless cycles
I do not fear the scorpion’s sting
For I have become her
Even after all my resistance
The shadows show persistence
And I have danced with fear
It no longer looks so intimidating
Many times, I was intertwined with utter darkness
And it has penetrated me
Pierced my very body, leaving me in a cold sweat
I felt its skeletal hands creep down my back
Caressing me in my most secret places
The faces I wore in days gone by
Are not the faces of my shadowed side
For now, Dove and Raven,
Fly peacefully within my aviary
