Unsure of what their heart wants
And too afraid to ask,
For fear they have forgotten your love
And have dismissed those memories from their past.

BROKEN PIECES

Oh to have your heart broken

By someone that you loved so much,

Your being aches to feel their heartbeat

And to feel their tender loving touch.

You carry on a lifetime

Holding onto their memory

And can’t help but wonder

What is it that they feel?

You willingly pick up the broken pieces

To place them in their hands to mend back together,

Having faith and believing that

This time will be better.

Unsure of what their heart wants

And too afraid to ask,

For fear they have forgotten your love

And have dismissed those memories from their past.

You have to speak the words from your heart

For without that they’ll never know,

Have faith that if it’s meant to be

Heart to heart your love will continue to grow.
