Dear Danny,

I sit alone behind these grey concrete walls, wondering if the Police really know it all?

State of Mind

Dear Danny,

I sit alone behind these grey concrete walls, wondering if the Police really know it all?

Craving just a little male affection, when all I seem to get is your rejection?

Write me letters, pick up the phone, need your sweetness, so sick of living here on my own.

I loved you, baby, you loved me, said I loved ya, it just shows how cruel a young girl can be.

You were dating a girl called Kayleigh Grainger, picked her up when you were park ranger,

I took your jeep and I tried to slam her, beat her up with my old claw hammer,

I found you, baby, you found me, said I loved ya, it just shows how cruel a young girl can be.

The way I dressed drove your mind half-crazy, short skirt, vest and sun so hazy,

I lay back, could afford to be lazy, in the grass, on drugs, our eyes were so glazy,

I f**ked you, boy, you f**cked me, said I loved ya, just shows how cruel a young girl can be.

Never, ever going to see your blue eyes, run my fingers inside your hairy thighs,

Never, ever going to get excited, in the love tryst that I invited.

I miss you, boy, do you miss me? Say ya love me, show me just how kind a poor boy can be.

Our love went sour when I had my turns, scalding water and red-hot cigarette burns,

Bet ya didn’t know, I’d only just started, loved ya look when you’re hurt face smarted,

I hurt you, boy, ya still loved me, said ya loved me, just shows how wrong a poor boy can be.

It was just my state of mind, left my heartbeat far behind,

From a twisted point of view, it shows how much harm a sick girl can do.

Never, ever going to see your black eyes, run my carpet-knife down your big hairy thighs,

Never, ever going to get so excited, as in the love tryst that I invited.

I miss you, boy, do you miss me? Say ya love me, show me just how kind a poor boy can be.

Dear Danny,

I leave behind these four grey concrete walls, wondering if the Police really knew it all?

Craving just a little male affection, when all I seem to get is your rejection?

Write you letters, pick up the phone, need your sweetness, so sick of living life on my own.

I love you, baby, do you love me? Say ya love me, show me just how kind a poor boy can be.

Well, it’s just my state of mind, leaves my heartbeat far behind,

From a twisted point of view, it shows how much harm this young girl will do.

Am I ever, going to see your blue eyes, run my fingers inside your hairy thighs?

Am I ever going to get excited, in the love tryst that I’ve invited?

Hello, Danny, it’s only me? I still love ya, well it shows how crazy a girl can be.

Never, ever abuse, harass, be violent to or act hatefully towards those who love you.

Thank you very much Hully,
I hate such violence, in this case a woman abusing a man, as I read in the news. I just wanted to shout from the rooftops. Too may 'State of Mind' verses tho' I'll edit!

Damp Kitten

I've read this before, HJ. Like some of your stories, it has a disturbing kind of psychopathic singe mixed with confusing diabolic imagery. Letters from prison. By the end of it, you wonder if Danny is even alive. This is not a girl you take home to your mother. This is not a girl you take home. This is not a girl you take.

Sadly nowadays love and violence go too comfortably hand in hand...and that is not how love should be...

Loved it HJ !

That was well said Sharief, I agree, love should be true and consummate, not smitten with hate, jealousy, violence and mistrust.
