Play Time

I’m only a kitten,

although I am large,

give me some space

or through a gap I’ll barge;

I’ve just had a nap

now I’m wanting to play,

please give me a chance

and say it’s okay.

Vehicles like mice,

well, I’ll give them a pat,

sending them flying?

I’d not meant to do that.

Look at the people,

like ants in a line,

I’ll watch where I tread

and they’ll all remain fine.

These buildings, so tall

but compared to me

they are more like a log

than a great big tree.

The people are fleeing,

of me they’re afraid,

my playful good mood

is starting to fade.

I’ll return to my bed,

and I’ll take a good nap;

if only I’d found me

a giant-sized lap.
