Awake,
Every day I wake, hollow and stoic.
They wake every day too,
across the world, from every place
and every time. There was a day...
There was a day when I woke,
but it was unusual. For I was
the same and they were different.
Or maybe I was different and they were the same.
Their monotony hit me, it threw me over
And I was truly awake. I realized I could
not wake them, I could only exist outside
of their reality, apart from the reality.
Some weeks later, I met one who was
lucid as well. And she changed everything.
She saw me, but not in the way I wanted
to be seen, separate from how I thought.
But, alas there will be another day
another time, perhaps another life.
To live as we dream, and the world too,
will one day be awake like us.
