Slow down, you’re forgetting to breathe,

Back to parasympathetic, you’re overthinking it.

If you don’t make your move, you’ll only seethe

With anger and questions, all starting with “What if?”

Trapped inside the Mobius Strip, of paralyzing anxiety,

The script is somewhere in your head, you’ve perfected it.

As long as everyone plays their part, everything will be just fine,

But free will is a powerful tool, no strings attached, you’re no deity.

Every night before bed, your worst moments, played through your head,

A compilation that never ever ends, and leaves you with a sense of dread.

Remember the three rules of life: death, taxes and you fucking it all up again,

The words are inside of your head, but they won’t come out through abstinence.

Worst come to worst, you might as well plan for a worst case scenario,

They’ll call you a cynic and a pessimist, but you’re being practical.

You’re lesser than everyone in the room, you’ll never be successful,

Getting too far down the rabbit hole, let's get back to the basics.

Slow down, you’re forgetting to breathe,

Back to parasympathetic, you’re overthinking it.

If you don’t make your move, you’ll only seethe

With anger and questions, all starting with “What if?
