Maybe I wouldn’t be this way. The way I am. Maybe I would still believe in happily ever afters. But that little girl who used to believe in pixie dust and true love is gone. Her fairytales had twists and became cruel reality. Dragons burned the image of her faulty body in her mind. The mirrors told lies. Every time she looked at her body, hatred filled her mind. Wishing she could have the perfect body. Some days she wouldn’t eat and others she felt like she was a disgrace. Trolls would corner her and a beat her with words. That rhyme about sticks and stones may break my bones but words would never hurt me was a painful lie. Those words spinner and turned, jabbing themselves into her Insercuries. Her mind turned deadly. Her eyes went blank. She had a story. But no one would stay. She painted pictures no one would see. Silver brush stained red. Pale white that went red. Just like magic. And almost dead. Sadness filled her head. Blank stares, empty stomach, hallow words that meant nothing. Battles with demons in the school halls. Mocking her face covered with flaws. One false move that’s all it took, her castle of glass no longer stood. Broken down and final breathe, she took a piece of glass to her neck. That little girl died that day. Her memory no one could remember to this day. That little girl disappear, but yet I’m still here. That little girl I wish didn’t have to lose her childhood too soon is now hiding behind a shattered mask. Acting is her task.
