80 birthdays? Seven billion breaths? Too many hangovers? They all run out. What is the point of living a life when all we can do is contemplate its inexorable expiration? Why must we live a life in perpetual fear of ending it? Why must we tremble when the sands in our hourglass of heartbeats flows thin?

Because there is so much more to life than merely dying. Do not dwell on closing credits when decades of events are yet to play out, do not let a funeral mar the magnificent being of existence. Of all the people who could have stood here in your place, it was you who was chosen, you who destiny deemed ideal to burn brightest against the flames of so many others. In this ocean of those who were here, who are gone, or who in fact never made it onto this world, who are we to object to our inevitable passing from this life, and into an adventure that so many will never get the chance to live.
