As I stood there watching him as he boarded the train, my heart broke into a million little pieces. I didn’t want to see him go—not yet.  We’d just met twenty four hours ago; yet I felt as if I had known him my entire life. The energy between us was magnetic, and left me breathless from the moment he looked into my eyes. At first we both tried to ignore the feeling; but by the end of the night we were drawn to each other, and could not let go. We talked for hours about everything and nothing, and I wanted more than anything to stay there in that moment forever; but—he had a train to catch. He had a one way ticket to Europe, and had no intention of coming back anytime soon. I on the other hand wasn’t so sure about what was next for me—not after meeting him. I had spent my whole life just trying to survive, and had only dreamt of packing my bags and leaving everything behind. I don’t know if I’ll ever see him again; but I know that am forever changed and I’m inspired to follow his lead.
