On 14th February,2019 a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle borne suicide bomber in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir in India.The attack resulted in the death of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and the attacker.The responsibility for the attack was claimed by Pakistan based Islamist militant group but Pakistan condemned the attack and denied any connection to it.
With deep condolences for the slain soldiers, this poem is a tribute to the Indian Army for their relentless hard work and risking themselves to the extent of their own lives in keeping us safe...

I'll wait for the day

For once,let's keep aside the bars of caste and creed,

And give ourselves the heeling we need;

For once, let's rise above religion,

And rise for the nation;

For once, let's forego the image of a peaceful India,

And show the world that we too, can retaliate;

For once, let's not think of being a member of the Big Five,

And cry for the innocent who lost their lives;

For once, on the face of the earth let's forget the Treaty of Peace,

And salute the brave hearts who saved our land;

Let's not repeat the mistake our forefathers did,

And see our country broken into bits;

I'll wait for the day when in its true sense,

We'll call Kashmir, a substitute for heaven.
