The sky is blue like diamonds reflecting the waters by my feet. I'm standing in the middle of a bright green field, a smile painted on my face, with no worries at all. I feel hands touch my waist from behind. It's him, Jimmy, kissing my ear and protecting me from all ominous evils. Was this a lucid dream? Whatever it was, I savored it.

"We shouldn't wake her up," a familiar voice says. "She looks like she's in a bliss."

"She's too cute, I can't wake her up," another voice says, which sounds like Jimmy's. "She's dreaming, I think." His voice is so smooth and delicate. Butterflies begin singing and dancing in my stomach; I could get used to this.

"We've got to wake her, before Quinn wakes up. We need to tell her about...the thing..." The thing? My ears perk up a little, and I slowly begin to wake up. That clearly caught my attention.

"We'll take her to my place," Jimmy says. I open my eyes, my vision a blur for only a moment. Then I notice the guys (excluding Quinn) are sitting on my bed.

"What...are you guys doing...here?" I grumble out of sleepiness.

"Oh my gosh, E! I haven't seen you in forever," Johnny says. "Just kidding. I saw you like, last week. I didn't get the chance to see you last night."

"You were outside with Quinn, I couldn't take that chance. Hello, Johnny," I say, laughing. "I'll forgive you this time." I lift myself out of bed and Jimmy grabs my hands.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty," he says, smiling at me. I smile back and lean my head on his chest, trying to stay awake.

"Someone want to explain to me what's going on?" I ask in a groggy tone. I don't think I'm fully awake quite yet.

"We want to tell you why Jimmy was actually gone," Brian says. My eyes widen and I'm instantly bursting at the seams.

"I'm interested, let's leave." Jimmy laughs. "Wait a minute, I thought you guys didn't know?" They all look at each other, trying to figure out what to say. Ah-hah! Caught them.

"We'll explain when we get to Jimmy's," Matt said. "You need to eat. I heard your stomach growl the entire time we've been here."

"Oh my God. I don't even know what to say right now. I probably snore...How long have you guys been on my bed?" I ask.

"Since seven a.m. It's nine o' clock now," Zacky says. I rub my eyes and laugh lightly. I begin stretching my body, which feels absolutely amazing right now.

"Okay, fine. I'll go eat." I kiss Jimmy's chin and I get off my bed so I can go downstairs to eat. I told the guys I would meet them outside after I finished. All I can do is hope I don't come across Quinn.   Moments after they went outside and I had finished consuming my breakfast, I went to my room and threw on a pair of jeans and a tank-top, pulling it down slightly to reveal a small amount of cleavage, then I head out the door. What am I doing? I pull up my shirt so I don't look like I'm trying too hard.

"You look cute," Jimmy says. I smile and blush a little.

"Oh, stop."

"So, meet me at my house guys?" Jimmy asks.

"Sure thing. See you soon," Brian says. They all get in Matt's large Tahoe while I get in the car with Jimmy.  I buckle my seatbelt.

"So, out of curiosity, but...does Quinn know why you were gone?" I ask.

"Yes, there was a reason why he never told you, but I'll tell you when we get there." He holds my hand and gazes into my eyes right before we drove off.  My heart is pounding to the point where palpitations might occur, my stomach is tingling, almost as if I might vomit but in a good way, and my lips are quivering, and I love all of it. Jimmy really makes me feel better than I've ever felt.

"Are you alright?" he asks. "Are you zoned out?"
"I've never been better, actually." He smiles and holds my hand.

"Why do you say that?"

"Being with you makes me feel more alive than I've ever felt," I say. "You just make me feel...so good." He laughs lightly and rubs my thigh with his hand.

"You make me feel alive as well," he murmurs. His voice soothes me. "I wouldn't change it for anything." We pull up to his driveway and park the car. I get out, eyeing the area because I've never been here before. His house looks more like a fancy cabin, surrounded by falling leaves and oak trees that bring out a natural, yet heavenly, scent. I can smell the pine cones in the distance, as well as an oak-like scent. I feel the nature stroke my skin as I stand out here for a moment. I can hear squirrels scattering through the leaves and birds singing an enchanting tune. Is this real life? I feel a tap on my shoulder. Johnny.

"You ready to go inside?" he asks. I nod and follow everyone in. I'm still so excited this is actually happening. My life has made a turn for the better. It's about time.

"Wow, Jimmy. I'm impressed with the way your place looks," I say. "Not that it looked bad before, because in reality I thought it looked amazing. But you made it even better."

"He spent all day on it before Matt's party," Brian says. "Must've cost a fortune."

"Nah, not really, you'd be surprised. And it was a lot of effort and hardwork," Jimmy mentions. "Worth it, though. It needed a remodel." We all sit down on the couch in the living room, which is rather large. The room is silent for a moment. All I can think is: well this is awkward.

"Who wants to start?" Jimmy asks. Matt stands up. He cracks his knuckles nervously and smiles. The fact that Jimmy asked who wanted to start the conversation makes me even more nervous and slightly timid.

"E..." He sighs. I sit here anxiously next to Jimmy, staring up at Matt. "We're all the same people you've known your whole life, I promise. Except..." Huge pause. I stare at him patiently, although I'm not patient at all. "Well, you aren't going to believe this and I promise to you I'm telling the whole damn truth...we aren't exactly...oh, what's the word... mortal anymore." I laugh lightly, then notice everyone has a serious expression on their face. That took a sharp turn rather quickly.

"Um, what? This is a joke. Please explain." Matt's eyes get big. This must be some kind of fairy tail, right? Or some kind of prank? A prank would make more sense.

"Brian, you take it from here."

"When Jimmy left over a year ago, he went to go get a great job to be successful after he left Leanna. You know, because she cheated. And...well, the way she treated you was unforgivable. You didn't deserve that, Emy. Anyway. However, something happened to him. He got drugged at a bar by some man with long black hair and a pale body. He was terrifying. That's the last guy Jimmy saw before passing out. When he woke up, his skin was a shade of blue-white, his eye color changed, and he was hungry like a lion. He craved meat."

 "Werewolf? Vampire?" I ask.

"No, way different than that," Jimmy says. "Not your average supernatural creature."

"We're called half-deads," Zacky says. "We aren't your stereotypical supernatural creatures. Jimmy changed us. We live off of animal meat. The longer we go without it, the angrier and more aggressive we get. That can make us dangerous. We've learned to control it somewhat. Our hearts don't beat, but our brains still function. We can live without sleep; we don't get tired. Of course, we can sleep if we choose." I sit here in shock, looking around the room and noticed they're all more pale than me. All of them even have blue eyes — but not your normal shade of blue. It's almost a neon shade, with clouds of fog surrounding the pupils.

"Is that why Brian and Johnny have bright blue eyes now? It all makes sense. And before anyone asks, yes that's one of the first things I am going to mention." They all nod.

"Do you still want to be with me?" Jimmy asks with a fearful expression in his eyes.  I couldn't be more positive. I will always yearn for him. I smile at him and take his hand.

"Of course I do. You're my everything and that will never change."

 "Even if I'm a monster?"

"You're not a monster to me." I kiss him delicately, feeling my heart race and my stomach sink. I do love him, no matter what or who he is. I still can't believe it, though.
