“If you were to name a title for this upcoming chapter in your life, what would it be?” Dr Schilling called as Kaden moved towards the decelerating train’s lonely platform, roller bag in hand.

He did not need more than a moment to reply, “Chapter One”.

They nodded in mutual acknowledgment.

Kaden’s newfound confidence was alluring. The trauma he experienced was seemingly insurmountable once upon a time, but he was still here today. Now he stood in the same place he had imagined committing the most devastating of acts. An act causing unimaginable suffering to those close with him.

He turned to face the silver, electric, fueled beast. It was when his brand new stylish synthetic soles kicked against the knobbly cautionary yellow line and the train’s breeze washed over him that he felt an intense rush of fear, racing thoughts and raw emotion.

The doors opened. Kaden paused, left foot in the air, wondering if maybe he was making a mistake.

What if he was not true to his word?

In the corner of his eyes he took a glance at the sign - Track 1. He knew where he was heading. After all they, and paradise, were waiting.
