Short Timing It

I walked into

A room full of friends

And I didn’t say “hi”

I’ve got a little

More than a week

Until I say “goodbye “

I know that soon

I’ll never see them again

And I know why

I just wanna

Keep my shit together

It’s not a lie

I’m leaving

Behind all that I know

Trying to make sense

My lazy Laid back life

Somehow became intense

I’ve got to Get the fuck out

(Please don’t take offense)

I’m not looking back

From this day hence

The future

Will unfold

In its own way

There’s no guarantee

That I’ll live

Through the day

I’m packing up

All my shit

And moving to Coos Bay

Nothing risked

Nothing to gain

That’s all I have to say
