I Was Walking the Canal Path One Day

I was walking the canal path one day,

When I heard a diesel rumble,

I turned my head the other way,

And down the hill did tumble.

Eric offered prompt First Aid,

And proffered his best pink plaster,

Edgar stood and looked dismayed,

That I could go no faster.

A twiglet scratch, that's all it was!

No need for Holby City,

No outward tic or pain inside,

A shame really, a pity.

I'll end on this salutary note,

For all the waffling gym talks,

Liposuction and pumped out bloat,

There's just no beating life walks!
