Is it okay if I tell you that I see you in my sleep sometimes?
Like if I tell you that I have inner conversations with myself, walking up and down this empty room thinking damn to myself
It's okay as long I'm the only one that knows
But I'm afraid I'll come across as creepy or desperate but sometimes the desperation we run from for so long seems to be our deepest attachment...
Starting from things like....
Seeing your name on my phone
My heart beat racing at the smallest glimpse of your sight
Swallowing my tongue before I can even make words of my own...
Having almost choked from my own saliva I found the courage to say Hi
And you showed a smile so effortless and beautiful, you said Hi

I enjoyed reading this poem. However, I do have a tip. Just shorten some of those extremely long lines; that will improve their readability. It is easily done by using some line breaks at convenient points. Reading a poem out loud usually helps to find the best places to do so. Keep up the good work.
