There was no night like the 'Crossing of the Red Sea,'

The night was black, it was a 'New Moon.'

Moses said, ''Come on Israel, follow me,

I think we've arrived too soon.

A wind blew, and the water was driven back,

Suddenly, there was a track.

Israel went in, walls of water at the side,

It was dry ground, low tide.

Above their heads,a pillar, cloud of fire,

Below, the Egyptians struggling with the water.

Not a single one of them stayed alive,

They all went down, took a deep dive.

Moses at the very beginning, called to the Lord,

''Get Cracking, use your rod.

Tell the Israelites to move along,

At the other side, you can sing your song.

It was an April night,

The Israelites didn't fight.

There, upon that dark shore,

They didn't see the enemy any more.
