Have you ever wondered while walking alone that something may be following you .Not so much during the day time but the story is altogether different during night time .Some people might say that you are being paranoid .Some might say that you are not brave .It totally depends on one’s thoughts during the time they are walking alone .it depends upon the time of night .The place. How lonely the way is.

Imagine you are exhausted .Alone .Returning home from your work .Later than your scheduled time .The route you have chosen to return is the same but is path is unnaturally deserted and dark. An eerie feeling occurs to you while walking down the road. Even though it’s the same road you walk everyday it seems to take longer time to reach home. Trees start appearing like scary shadows. Every sound gets amplified. Even nature’s sound of chirping of night crickets starts sounding like something unholy. You start to walk faster. While doing so you think of enjoying the company of some music not because you are in the mood for it but because you don’t want to feel alone. But it’s one of those days when your phone is more exhausted than you are and it’s eventually is dead. When you reach the area with shops which are generally open late night you start to relax up to certain extent. But this relief turns into restlessness on observing them closed with not a soul nearby. You wonder how late you really are. You check your watch which is surprisingly showing just 11 o’clock. That provides you somewhat relief. You hope to find at least one person, animal, almost any living being as you start getting closer to your neighborhood. On the contrary to what you have imagined the area appears even more deserted. Just empty dark  houses. No noise of television or anything. It’s too unsettling. You start walking faster. Literally running to get to your house. But in this hurry you have ran few blocks ahead of your place. You realize it after you don’t find your house as you go further. This is the effect of fear. You go back to the spot where your house is. What you see makes you realize that why you missed your house in the first place. There is no house anymore where your house was supposed to be…
