I've written on this subject before, but feel compelled at this time to re-state my feelings based upon an aspect of this god-dominant religion which never seems to change.

Recently, I was online doing research for articles which I may write for placement on Spirit Space in the future. I pulled up Re-incarnation, checking out what might be of interest, when I came across a video presented by a Christian evangelist, one who has his view point for sale on audio book.

He was giving his Christian take on Re-incarnation, and of course was being very mockingly dissmissive of the entire topic. It wasn't unexpected, Christians have to keep their narrow minded perspective to maintain their boxey little religion all tied up with a perfect ribbon. Other wise it merely becomes a leaky ark filled with holes.

What got my ire up, was the last statment made in the video, (paraphrasing) 'Christ is perfect, and the only soul to experience re-birth, and without him you are done for. The end.'

I've heard absolute statements such as these so many times through out my life, and I believe what is being touted by Christians and Christianity is nothing more than a continuing spiritual death threat, and it is unadulterated terrorism.

There are other god-dominant religions which proclaim something similar, only using a different name for the god in question. I chose Christianity to put forth the truth of its particular threatening stance, because I was lead into the faith when I was a young child, suffering deep emotional and psychic  damage as a result.

The notion of the 'second coming' was constantly repeated to me during my childhood. I was told of those not chosen for eternal life because they did not accept Christ as God or divine Lord. He was the only key to continuance. He was THE WAY. The ones who didn't accept this dogma were dead even as they lived, only to meet oblivion at actual physical death. Then, there were those who preached something even worse, eternal damnation, where the Lord god will torture a damned soul to his hearts content. I was taught this as a child, and for years I was positively terrified at the thought of the 'Coming of the LORD.'

It was only until I was old enough to break away from this awful religion, that I began to study other spiritual concepts (those which did NOT involve death threats or torture) and I was finally able to reach an open minded and much more hope filled perspective, one which was actually useful when applied in my life.

It took time, but I came to my own conclusions concering existence, while finding something of serenity and peace within. Something which I never once recieved through the Christian faith.

Finally, 'Left Behind,' ever hear of it? We are the rejected who have rejected the violence that is Christ through judgement, threatened pain and suffering. I'm a die hard 'Left Behinder' who has found great happiness in knowing I'll not have to spend eternity with a Christian. What a bloody relief! Humor aside, this religion does indeed foster and holds tightly to a form of terrorism which I find beyond reprehensible. It involves threat meant to inspire dread and the worst kind of fear which is directed at the human spirit and soul.
