I used to work for something kinda like Geek Squad but more mobile. I kept having weird run-ins with birds.

BIRD 1

Walking down the street on my way to a customer’s door.

There was a dead white bird on a fancy otherwise pristine driveway. It was cut open. I could see its ribs.

It wasn’t there when I went back past the place as it was getting darker. There wasn’t even any stains.

I don’t know what happened to it.

BIRD 2

I was in an apartment building, going down a stairway.

A bird was trapped inside. Orange and greenish. I think maybe someone let it in through the window, then didn’t let it get out.

It just kept…trying to fly through the window and hitting the glass. It was getting tired.

I pried the pane and mesh off and tried gently nudging it out. It flew away. I don’t know what happened to it.

BIRDS 3-7

There was a nest of brown birds, I think. Assuming some birds nearby where the parents. It fell out of its place on a telephone pole next to an industrial warehouse.

There were four nestlings for the nest with their faint beginnings of feathers.

Three were dead.

I buried them and tried to find a place to take the survivor.

I called a conserve number and went to a website and that told me to drop it off to a vet if it was closed(it was).

It was rather weak. But it was cute. Even when it took a massive poop on my hands. But

They ‘evaluated quality of life’ and that wasn’t good enough.

Some other things happened and I quit a little time after.
