What a twist has been played on my fate
As I find myself standing before Hell's gate
My hand reaches out a will of its own
Betrayed, my flesh is chilled to the bone

What tortures waits upon the other side
Where did I go wrong while riding the tide
What I did was to survive but not to live
My life lost, with my soul did I strive

A light descended a new chance revealed
The turmoil of the soul and heart healed
First born of water now reborn in fire
New life given my heart cleansed of all ire

My death no longer my own to choose
And my life no longer my own to loose
I now live with a higher purpose in sight
Finally freed of all bonds no need to fight

Eyes opened to new visions and realities
My soul no longer controlled by vanities
Freed to live under the original intent
A relationship with God as it was meant

Walking onward lead by a guiding hand
Dreams burst forth of the promised land
Rising up in the distance is heavens gate
What a twist has been played on my fate
