Ramblings of the Heart is a collection of rhyming and non-rhyming poems. The book includes inspirational quotes and essays that could be categorized as self-help with the emphasis of moving on from grief and being grateful to a father who has gone too soon. It serves as a memoir and a ode to a man with a simple life but was gifted with a beautiful mind. In its depth, the poetry was written from the deep recesses of my heart. How extremely difficult it was to live a life without a constant presence that molded me into who I am.
It is dedicated to my father Francis Lawrence Daugherty Sun.

STARS: When day turns into night and night turns into day, when dusk sheds first light and fleeting twilight greets the moon, every effervescent star leaps out and makes its way back to earth. I’ll see that twinkle in your eye and that smile that no man can describe. TURN BACK TIME: I once told you to turn back time because I thought You could do anything. You gave me the world and kept all your promises. There is no one like you, you are incomparable in every way. My life was truly less burdensome and I had a reason to wake and reason to sleep. I pray that you are not only resting on a bed of roses but lilacs too, you have truly earned your wings.
