A poem about the mind before it starts to dissect the reality. A tribute to Buddha, Tao Te Ching and Pirsig. Also a weapon the you can use to counteract the voice coming from your animal brain. See my article "Animal Brain and Human Brain".

Battle cries outside
The enemy is here

It is a light, peaceful state
No accumulation of knowledge, wealth or relations
No demand for growth, recognition or justice

Alert, present
Hearing every sound
Noticing the slightest change

No rescue, no escape
Holding steadily the hilt of the sword
With a whisper of a smile
I see the enemy entering the door
