President Trump “Allegedly” Having Discussions About Background Checks On Guns

In the aftermath of two mass shooting President Trump is NOW having discussions about background checks on gun owners.

Previously President Trump response to a mass shooting at a school was to arm teachers. President Trump’s previous “serious discussions” resulted in him (throwing a tantrum) and walking out of a meeting with “Chuck” and “Nan” after 10 minutes.

Previously in his book, The America We Deserve, Donald Trump said “I generally oppose gun control but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun”.

Following a mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada the Federal government placed a ban on “bump stocks” (A “bump stock” is a plastic or metal device that can be attached to the rear of a semiautomatic rifle to make it shoot almost as fast as a fully automatic weapon. The stock uses recoil to make the weapon bump back and forth between the shooter’s shoulder and trigger finger, causing the firearm to fire rapidly).

In the 2016 election, the NRA spent $11,438,118 to support Donald Trump’s campaign and donated $19,756,346 to groups opposing Hillary Clinton’s.

$11,438,118 buys you a 180.

We cannot let those killed in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, die in vain. Likewise for those so seriously wounded. We can never forget them, and those many who came before them. Republicans and Democrats must come together and get strong background checks, perhaps marrying....
