This story is about me finding myself in a strange situation.

''Wake up! Wake up!'' I heard the voice saying. I was fast asleep. Opening my eyes, I saw that I was there among other soldiers fully dressed with my weapon in my hands.
''What time is it?'' I asked.
''Three thirty. Time to go on guard.'' The Sergeant said.
''On guard? What the devil is going on. I just came out the disco, and was on my way home.''
The Sergeant said very clearly, ''This is no disco. This is war. We're on guard here.''
''What war? You're kidding me! Last time I could remember, everything was peaceful. There was no war.'' I said, still confused.
''You're the one who signed up for this duty. War has been declared by the enemy.'' The Sergeant told me.
''Who's the enemy for God's sake?''
''I should tell you now that the enemy came from overseas, and invaded our land. There are not many soldiers left to fight. Our defenders are mostly from the Air Force, and have been doing a good job so far.'' He told me. I could remember going to the disco with a group of friends. After the disco had ended, I got into a car with three others, and they were to drop me off at my place. I had fallen asleep on the journey, and now waking up, I am at the Infantry trianing place. I said to the Sergeant, ''Let me explain. This is a mistake. I do not belong to this contingent.''
''This is no mistake, son,'' he said to me. ''You're here to do your duty and you're going to see it through.''
Trying to explain to the Sergeant that something was wrong, and that I didn't belong here was going to be a hard thing to do. I found myself in the first guard duty, and we went out in the early morning.

It was still dark when the four of us went off. A long stretch of track laid before us, with thic woods on both sides. Two were on the left, and two on the right as we made our way and checking carefully for anything unusual. We slid into the thick woods when we saw a group heading towards us. There were about six of them from the enemy They came to where we were, and stood on the track talking. So close they were that we had to stay completely still. Then a heavy sneeze came upon me. They heard it and rushed in at me. At the same time I was kicking the bed sheets away, the alarm went off and I fell out of bed.

The End.
