A chicken lays $20 bills instead of eggs on a sidewalk. Something tells Zak this is not going to be a typical day!



Zak exited his flat to go to the coffee shop for a hot cup of cappuccino and a croissant before catching the commuter train.

He turned the corner and almost tripped over a chicken. Weird, not a sight seen every day, he thought. Then weird became a deep shade of weird when the chicken walked up, clucked a couple times and laid a roll of twenty-dollar bills on the sidewalk.

Whoa, Zak thought, this chicken might come in handy. He tried in vain to catch it but it escaped. He arrived at the commuter station and bought a soda. The machine took his five, delivered the $2 soda and plop, plop, plop, three boiled eggs.

He found an empty train booth, looked up to see a kangaroo. The kangaroo wore a monocle reading the paper and winked at Zak. He started to toss one of his eggs to the Roo, but decided they might come in handy later.

Zak now not fazed by strange occurrences, but when he looked out the window he saw something a much deeper shade of weird.

 He pressed his face closer to the window and thought….
