A new AI has just been released which can write your stories for you. You provide start and ending.

The AI writes the rest.

Here's an example: my text in bold, the AI's text in italics.

Evelyn

I liked Evelyn from the moment I saw her but she wasn't interested in me.

In fact, I couldn't stand her at all. I had one of those friendships. She lived close to me and I spent many nights and weekends there together. We didn't have sex very often. We rarely went out for drinks. We rarely got drunk. We rarely had a good time. We just hung out and laughed and ate dinner together. I knew, from her early teens, that she loved money.

Finally she agreed to go out with me. But then I discovered I wasn't interested in her after all.

---

I got that on the third regeneration. If you don't like it, just keep regenerating. You can set the length of the AI's interpolation from short to medium to long. The above is short-medium (67 words).

I didn't edit the AI's words above but there are obvious improvements which could be made.

Did you know that I have been using this system for a while now? Most of my stories are written by my AI system.

Only kidding!

Here's the link: https://www.ai21.com/haim (google HAIM AI21).

It's a public release version of OpenAI's GPT-2 system:

Here's another example. I couldn't resist. Rather Kafkaesque.

The Prisoner

I was trapped in this damp prison cell.

I had been arrested and sentenced to 12 years in prison for an offence I had not committed. At my first appearance before the court, I began making up stories. People tried to tell me my stories were crazy, but it is the truth. I have been telling my story my whole life. I have a real understanding of what has happened and what I will go through again.

There were people who tried to save me and even brought flowers to my bedside. But I kept telling them things would not be the same then. That I would only get better and that nobody would believe me.

I was too intelligent. There was no hope for me.
