In 1971, Frank Henderson left his home and his new wife, Nancy, to fight in the Vietnam War. As you will read, the distance would neither quell their passion nor stop their love. Instead, in the face of such adversity, the love that Nancy and Frank shared would grow.

Through the handwritten letters that Frank wrote to Nancy as well as Nancy's, personal recollections of the era, you will experience feelings of desperation and exaltation. You will laugh at the foibles of crossed signals caused by sometimes unreliable letter delivery, and you will cry with joy at this book's surprising conclusion.
In War & Commitment, you will experience the continuation of a love story like no other -- a love story that began at "happily ever after."

Frank and I had been married for two and a half years when he volunteered to go to Vietnam in 1971. Love & Marriage: Book I of our Memoir lets you get to know us, the deepness of our love, our open
communication with each other and the unselfish commitment we had to our love. War & Commitment: Book II starts the 140 plus letters that Frank wrote to me while he was in Vietnam. I wrote to him
every day, and he wrote to me every chance he could. I chose not to have any of Frank's letters edited but to share them in their entirety the way he wrote them.
