When I am down, where will I go? What about you? Where do you go when you are down?

(This is a song I wrote this year and had only gotten to record it with a friend of mine, Jess. Compared to all of the poems I have written in this website, I pretty much got matured and understand the world a bit better. Of course, I am still depressed, but I am getting better.)

Where I’ll Go

(Verse 1)

To the self that I know,

Your eyes seem so far away,

To the image in the mirror,

Tell me what I have become?

I have been in deep waters,

Trying my best to keep afloat,

Finding the shadows that shot her,

Running away from the demons that gloat.

Falling, I’m tripping, I’m going insane,

Screaming, but silence, I’m locked up within,

But all these thorny vines and

knives kept me at bay,

There’s no point of escape.

(Chorus)

When I am down, I

Run to a place where I’ll

Find solace, and when I

Fall, I try to get up,

Rise above the grey clouds,

Go forth towards the sun,

So when I am down,

But where will I go?

Some where…

(Verse 2)

I have been out of reach,

Missed calls flooded up my phone,

Everything around me seem

To be… gradually losing their colors.

The smiles were always the same,

A porcelain doll losing its shine,

A hollow puppet hard to be tamed,

Treading on glass in a winding line.

But something is pulling me back to life,

A bright lit room filled with my memoirs,

A flash in the dark reminded me of

The light in the dark,

I guess there’s still hope so far.

When I am down, I

Run to a place where I’ll

Find solace, and when I

Fall, I try my best to get up,

Rise above the grey clouds,

Go forth towards the sun,

So when I am down,

But where will I go?

I think I know where

(Bridge)

I’ll find the path that

Leads to a better place,

I’ll find the strength

To pull through whatever it takes,

Only you know the way I break so,

Pick up and mend the mistakes you did, slowly.

(Chorus)

When I am down, I’ll

No longer bathe in misery,

And when I fall I’ll no longer shed tears, still looking up,

Rise above the grey clouds,

Go forth towards the sun,

When I am down,

Where will I go?

(Chorus repeat)

When I am down, I

Run to a place where I’ll

Find solace, and when I

Fall, I try to get up,

I know it seems so easy,

But when you are blinded you can’t really see,

So when I am down,

I know where I’ll go.

(Special thanks to my group of friends who we fondly call each other the JANS. You guys have been the best people I have met when I am lost. I am still lost, but I am getting by with all the memories we make everyday. Let's end this with a G.)
