The forest can be a comforting .

As I lie on the leaf ridden ground,

An umbrella of trees shade my body,

Silent except for the sounds of the forest.

The forest is forgiving,

She let them put me here after all,

Unmoving.

Decrepid,

Missing,

Death.

As my body rots here,

Clothes turning to ancient fabric,

How long have I been here?

The forest watches over me,

As I return to the earth,

To live with the worms,

So here I lie.

Melancholic Wisdom

An interesting and dark read, I really loved the imagery. Especially fitting for the coming of autumn, nice job Em

This is kind of haunting. There's a lot not said, but an awful lot implied. A very effective piece.
(Just a hint - check the spelling of 'clothes'.)
