Cain had heard tell that others like him existed but, he knew none were of his making. Vampires, however, make mistakes too, they slip up and one such error from five decades ago suddenly appears before Cain with a most unsettling salutation - "Hello - dad!"

The 2nd in The Tides of Sorrow series sees Cain and the ever-so-persistent Becky coming head to head with other vampires. She still desires to be like him, but he stands his ground and refuses to turn her. So what will he do when another offers to make her wish come true?

All I can think is oh dear. Also, Luke must be some kind of psycho to have seen his family murdered without any sort of grief. I'm guessing he's going to be a vampire now? Wondering if this will be full of useless sex scenes-I do hope not.

Well, not everything is addressed in the first chapters - fifty years or so have passed since that fateful night for Luke. And no, I do not write stories full of useless sex scenes. That is not to say there is none, but mainly the focus is on the emotional state of the characters and what we assume to be the inherent nature of vampires. If you have read the first book, "Tides of Sorrow", you will know the avenue I travel with these characters. Thank you for reading :)

Robert Helliger

A dramatic, and scary prologue to the horror story.
The writing is a fusion of Anne Rice, and Stephen King.
I'm looking forward to reading more of the book.
