Lost Love

You were my most cherished possession
Now that I have lost you,
I understand how much I'm in need
If I could turn back the clock,
I would make up my mind
And pulverize my flaws and lust
My conscience is clear
But all I feel within me is emptiness
Apprehension and inquietude
overshadow my intuition
whenever I browse
through those good, old pages
Rhetoric questions
run through my mind every minute
How did I lose those baby blue eyes?
And the smile that lit up my sky?
Now I realise I have lost you,
But honestly, it's inconceivable
