This poem is following a day in the life of a very forgetful person. No, I’m not this forgetful if you were wondering!

Sometimes I forget things,

And my mind goes off like springs!

It’s very annoying,

Especially when I need to get going.

Oh no, I forgot my bag!

Maybe I should label it with a tag.

Oh no, I forgot to close the door!

Maybe I should put a reminder on the floor.

Oh no, I forgot my keys!

Put them in a noticeable place please!

Oh no, I forgot to get fuel!

Why do I have to be such a fool?

Yes, I’m finally at work!

Now I’m not as berserk.

Yes, I’m finally at home,

Now I can see my garden gnome!

Oh no, I forgot to get dinner!

I’m going to get thinner.

Oh no, I forgot to do my homework,

I better get to work!

I know I’m very forgetful,

And because of this I’m perpetually fretful,

But everything worked out,

That’s what my life’s all about.

Today’s duties are done,

Now I can peacefully dream about my loved one.

As someone as is luckily as not forgetful as this, but still quite forgetful I can very much relate to this. I really enjoyed your poem, and the ending was nice. Yes things get forgotten but it's not the end of the world.
