The familiar childhood paths that I hold so dear, are now like dark shadows that fade each year.

Being cast aside is all I ever knew.

I close my eyes, with light bleeding opaquely through.

The voices inside are telling me one thing and my heart another.

I fear my time is coming near.

All people want to see is what they want, not what should be known.

You talk, they hear, but do they really listen?

Your cries go unnoticed until it's too late, then they say, "why did I wait?".

If they looked closer, they'd see that struggling lonely girl.

Now she's no longer there, she's peaceful now, no more torment.

But please, remember her happy moments.
