Not a big follower of Twitter but I do get some feeds. Occasionally reading through the tweets I remain amazed at the misinformation, bigotry and intolerance by those who claim the exact opposite - these martyrs of the new age who waste no time decrying difference to their own agenda.

So a bit of whimsy on a slow day

Be still and stand aside

For current matters override

The idiocy of your ways

Don’t stop to think

Or for even blink

Don’t try to disengage.

Accept it is my words that count

Anything else is tantamount

To treason

Unreason

And so is of no account.

My freedom to express

Gives me the right to oppress

Anything contrary to my view

(Especially anything from you)

The world would be a better place

Of joy and harmony and hope

If only we did not need to mediate

And placate misanthropes

Like you.

My followers are all like me

And though I have never met them

They assuredly would agree.

It is our sworn duty to condemn

Any sign of divergent thought

Or anything that smacks of rote or tort

For we are free thinkers,

On that we all concur.

You are a shitty Luddite stinker

What right do you have to demur?

Our trolls are waiting

Our baits are set

While you are debating

We will finish our cigarette

Then slowly tear you another

With careful aspersions

And straw man diversions

Designed to make you suffer.

Don’t try to resist

Just shut up and desist

And revel in our glorious freedom

To create this new world fiefdom.
