Who are you

That I should wander through your midnight

That I should look within the shadow

That you cast?

I have troubles of my own

And I must feed them.

If I do not

Then how are they to last?

The memories

And stains within your eyes

Are no concern of mine

I do fear.

Yet the hopelessness

Of looking past tomorrow

Is just a way of saying,

“I need you here.”

So wrap yourself around me

Like a flower

Cuddle close

So I cannot see your eyes.

Winter calls

For the world to rest again

So let us sleep

And forget about the lies.
