What would you do if a stranger were to leave a note for you? A note saying “Quickly and quietly, get out now while you still can”? Would you just ignore it and finish reading your book, sipping your latte? Or would you decide to listen to it and “get out”? Well, I just decided to sit there and finish drinking my latte, I wasn’t really worried. I was going to finish reading my book as well. But that never happened, no. The second I crumpled up the note and threw it in the bin a gunshot rang out. When that gunshot rang through the room everyone screamed. Everyone ducked. But I stood up, grabbed my steaming hot latte and threw it at the shooter. He dropped the gun and howled as the hot liquid soaked his shirt and burnt his skin. He reached to the nearest table and grabbed a pile of napkins. Without thinking I sprung across the room and dove for the gun. Sliding across the wooden floor I kick the gun under a counter and stand up quickly. I face the man who dared interrupt my book and make me dump my latte. I stare at his white mask, showing nothing of what he looks like. He finally stops dabbing at his shirt with napkins and cocks his head to the side. “How dare you,” His deep voice dripping with anger. “You’ll pay for that.”

“Um… no,” I mimic the angle of his head, “How dare you.”
