Where the ocean meets the sand, that’s where you’ll find my soul,

Seperate from my body, Substitute Shinigami Badge on my forearm.

Cryostasis on the beach, a location where it’s impossible to grow old,

In the direct sunlight, though UV rays can’t penetrate my umbrella.

Between a rock and a hard place, the realm between life and death,

Hesitation is becoming obvious, peep the scars across my forearms.

Shell of my former self, a victim of weathering and water erosion,

Layers of topsoil peeled back, increasing vulnerable towards my last breath.

Half sunken in the sand, dying of dehydration along with the cetaceans,

If we all die here, don’t cannibalize us, unless you wanna risk botulism.

Crossing that line in the sand, protected from harm by arecaceae trees,

Life after death may not be so bad, for a royally fucked up organism.
