I was 10 years old. It was a Tuesday night. My parents were divorced and I lived with my mom. Even though I was young I considered myself to be really mature for my age and I could tell the divorce was bothering my mom. It bothered me too not being able to see my dad but at the same time he was in the army so I didn’t see him all that much.

Anyone this one October night really freaked me out and this is what my story is about. I was alone in my bedroom.

The time was around two in the morning maybe two-thirty. The room was quiet. I was fast asleep until I heard what sounded like crying coming from behind my bedroom door. I woke up.

“Hello?” I called out. “Mom?” No response. After a few seconds I heard more crying. This time I stood up and walked towards my door. “Hello?” I said again.

This time louder and the crying stopped.

Then I heard a women’s voice she said “did I wake you? I am sorry...you see I lost someone close to me and I want him back.”

I got chills and said “I hope you find who your looking for.” A few seconds went by and I heard the crying women again. What she said scared me to death. She said

“I have behind this door.” Then I froze as the door knob started to twist and turn.

suddenly my mom entered the bedroom and asked if I was ok?. I told her what happened. She said I was imagining things and blamed it on the divorce.

My mom started to leave the room. She froze turned to me that’s when I saw her eyes were blood red and she had a creepy smile and she said “Sweet dreams” and left my room.
