“Mystery to Herself”

It's a dark, twisted mystery
Trapped in a gloomy history
On cold hearts it feeds
As the misty night bleeds!

AND in brittle-honeyed voice it sings…

Fire of raging emotions,
Burns all the sensations!
And in the thick black fumes,
It's your shadow that looms!

NOW, it envelopes her soul and goes on…

Her fingertips become dewy, as
Gentle figure of hers gets bluey
Moving fingers around the coffee mug,
A cold shiver and she smears the rug!

THEN, it whispers to the dark corners…

The celestial symphony of Hurts,
Makes her a mystery to herself that blurs,
The silvery moon across the windowpane!
And it feels tempted to dissolve in her pain..

AND, now it is revealed on the moonlit floor…

But she doesn't shrink back,
Like a butterfly attracted to lilac,
She embraces the mysterious December
For Entwined with her mystery,
It comes in  all splendor!!
