"Good people take care of their animals." {Proverbs 10:12a}

 The above text is quoted directly from the Bible. The Bible does not condone nor does it legitimize the mistreatment of animals, as alluded by the author of "What God Allows." Please allow me to inform you that there is NO animal sacrifice in Christianity. In fact, New Testament Scriptures forbid Christians from eating meat sacrificed to idols, meaning pagan gods. In the Old Testament, sacrificing animals was necessary for the atonement of sins, but Jesus did away with this system when He offered His own life and blood as the perfect and permanent sacrifice to atone for the sins of mankind. To receive the benefit of this sacrifice, all one must do is believe in Jesus and stop practicing things that God regards as sinful.

There is also the necessary ritual called water baptism that one must go through, where one goes in the water and be immersed, then of course come up out of the water. :) This ritual illustrates the end of the old life or the old self, and the beginning of the new life or the new self. Again let me say, there is absolutely NO animal sacrifice in Christianity. Please stop the campaign of misinformation and disinformation against Christianity. There are other religions that currently practice animal sacrifice; I suggest that the author should talk about them instead.

Now regarding human beings eating meat in general, I find the essay to be disingenuous, very bias, and lacking in substance. The author conveniently failed to list the pros of eating meat as he only bothered to list the cons. Now why would anyone do such a thing? Who knows? Did you know that a healthy rich in protein diet which includes meat has been shown to reduce appetite or hunger, increase metabolism, allows for better retention of muscle mass, better absorption of iron, and stronger bones? Now who does not need stronger bones? Did you know about these health benefits from eating meat? If not, then now you know. As for the diseases linked to eating meat mentioned, they can be prevented through moderation, and proper sanitary ways of preparing and cooking meat. One more thing, people should not eat meat with the blood still in it. God forbids it, for one, and two, it's just not healthy to do so.

Finally, what do you say about people who have sex with their animals? Do you NOT find this to be cruel to the animals as well? Were you aware of this evil practice? Did you know that the Bible condemns it?
