It's over now.
You used me and that's fine,
because that's your karma and not mine.
A time will come when you'll know what it feels like
and remember what you did to someone who didn't deserve that.
Mark my words when I say,
that insecure men will always go back
to the women who treat them like trash.
You latched on to me
because you saw the light that you lacked
and reminded me of all the reasons why
I’ve been on my own for this long.
Each time I come out of it alive, and a little bit stronger
with a new song to write.
I won’t stay sad
because you lost a chance at one of the best things you ever could’ve had,
guess I gave you the self esteem boost you needed before leaving.
It may have left me a little bit jaded,
but at least I’m wiser now than I ever was before,
and not a fool who chases after a man who doesn’t want me anymore.
Many don’t know how to cope on their own
and you’re one of them,
and one day you might come crawling back again,
when you find yourself alone
and you’ll have no choice but to face the mess that you created.
