I may not be able to see your pain
But I can tell from the sound of your voice
You've been crying
I can tell from the sound of your voice
That you've been shouting
Shouting for help with everybody listening
But no hands reaching

They don't understand what you're going through, nobody does and nobody will because they don't know what it's like to be you

And so you go to bed every night hoping you'll fall sleep on a dry pillow and wake up in the morning hoping you don't have to act strong anymore, but it's tough being a strong woman when they've taken so much from you.

They tell you be strong sister it's going to be okay but everyday the battle gets harder.
It's like a combat game, the more you progress the harder it becomes.
That's how the healing or recovering process turns out sometimes.

I don't know how you do it everyday.
Like never forgetting to put on that tenacious smile every morning when you brush your teeth, trying to bring more company into your rather solo world, but all you're doing is just emptying yourself even more.

People are more welcoming when you smile,
Even though it eats you deep inside.
But you keep quiet because you know they won't be there to wipe those tears when you cry.

So be strong sister
Don't let your world die
Show them all it can be done
