Ancient Intergalactic Flowers
Ancient intergalactic flowers explode inside my soul.
Peace is not the velvety petals, nor the pollen or stem.
It's less tngible than the spoken word.
It's sturdy like the ground.
It cradles me like Mother Earth.
I cry out for it like I do for my Mother.
It is in the darkness that my flowers bloom.
Fragile, yet powerful.
Thorny vines choke my mind.
Bloody, beaten and screming inside.
In silence I cradle my flowers, and hack at my thorny vines.
Speak my name in honest care.
Look into my eyes and see my flowers.
Drown my pain in your hopeful kisses.
Wrap your arms tightly around me as if I may disappear.
I may if I lose this war.
Strengthen my armor with yoour kindness and love.
Bravely look upon these ugly thorns, and see me.
See my ancient intergalactic flowers, and how they bloom,
in a whole new way just for you.
